There are so many reasons to spread love. The most obvious of them, it seems, is because it feels good. It feels good to the sender, and it feels good to the receiver.
In our first scatter.love event, a small group gathered on 11.1.15, and decided together to go out into the community and give free hugs. Free hugs. It was that simple.
We had no idea what to expect. Would people be receptive? It didn’t take long to discover that very, very few people will pass up the opportunity for a free hug.
“You made my day.”
“I can’t believe you are doing this just because.”
“I needed this hug, thank you.”
These, and many more comments, made our choice to give free hugs worth while.
